What is the most likely diagnosis? Spenule adjacent to the spleen.
What would you recommend to do next? No further workup indicated.

History: Back pain.
What is the differential diagnosis? Curvilinear right rib cortically active lesion: Differential includes most likely metastatic disease, fibrous dysplasia, and Paget’s disease.
What would you recommend to do next? Plain film of the chest.

 

Case of the week for 10/11/20

History: Wrist pain.
What is the diagnosis? Minimally displaced pisiform fracture.
How is the most common mechanism? Direct trauma to the volar ulnar aspect of the wrist, or a chip avulsion caused by the pull of the flexor carpi ulnaris against strong hyperextension of the wrist. (1)
