The Mega Five: The Ultimate Resources For The First-Year Radiology Resident
Wow, what a feeling! You did it! You’re officially a first-year Radiology resident! And, you just took your first step...
I am currently 29 years old and was born and raised in Staten Island coming from a very loving Italian family with both my grandparents having Sicilian and Napolitano blood. I am currently the only Physician in my family and am very proud of this prestigious accomplishment. I have a loving Mother and Father who I adore who supported me throughout my entire life and continue to do so till this very day, for which words cannot describe how blessed and grateful I am to them. I have a beautiful and highly talented little sister who is 11 years younger than me and couldn't be closer! She is currently advancing her dreams at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and recently made the Academic Deans list, only continuing to excel! (I'd like to take credit for her as I am a good brother to her and still am one of her best role models!) I pursued my career at the State University of Albany and completed Medical School at Saint Georges University in the Caribbean Islands. Both experiences helped mold me into the person I am today. I was exposed to and adapted certain aspects of culture including a genre of music called "Soca" from Grenada that I still listen to today. I enjoy being around family, hanging out with friends, playing videogames, keeping up with new movies and comedies, meeting new people, listening to music, fine dining, snowboarding, going to the beach, exploring, going on trips, drawing, and making people laugh. There are way too many things to list in this biography as it turns into a mini-novel which I’m sure you all love reading! I am grateful for all of my experiences in life especially my preliminary surgical year before entering the mysterious realm of Radiology. It has allowed me to see a different side of life, motivated me to keep pursuing my dreams, and let me view anatomy in a physical way that I can use to help harness and solidify my three/four dimensional internal map of anatomy. It has also served to help me excel as a Radiologist as I continue down this beautiful path. I am excited about training in radiology and look forward to the future!
